Irvington, NJ — Touch Dynamic, a leading manufacturer of all-in-one touch systems, industrial PCs, and mobile POS devices is pleased to announce the Quest Tablet. A rugged, Windows-based, EMV and NFC ready tablet, the Quest is ideal for virtually any POS or rugged environment.
The Quest Tablet features a 7” or 10” sleek LCD screen and can withstand drops of up to 4 feet. Unlike other tablets used for POS, which are simply consumer grade tablets protected with a shell or sled, the Quest is IP 54 rated and naturally suited for use in any tough environment.
Supporting an Intel Quad Core BayTrail-T processor, the Quest tablet boasts ultra-low power consumption and quick speed. The Intel BayTrail-T CPU makes it possible for the Quest to support Windows 8.1 Pro, enabling the device to handle heavy applications. When in constant operation, the device has an extended battery life of 6 to 8 hours, enough to cover an entire shift.
The Quest includes add-on POS peripherals such as a 2D Barcode Scanner and the EMV smartcard reader. Other features include internal wireless LAN and Bluetooth and an internal NFC reader.
“Touch Dynamic is committed to designing innovative POS solutions,” said Craig Paritz, Owner and President of Touch Dynamic. “The Quest is the latest evolution of our product line designed to meet the growing demand for tablet POS solutions.”
Every Quest Tablet ships with a basic charging dock with an optional premium charging dock available. The premium charging dock includes a key lock, multiple USB ports, 1 Ethernet port, and a 9 pin Serial Port. Additionally, this premium charging dock makes it possible to use the Quest as a fixed-base POS.
